29th June 2013 ~ Termas de Río Hondo

Good Morning,So, as you can see from the Map page, we did quite a good few kilometres in the past week.  We stayed approximately two weeks in the Paso Del Rey area and then travelled up to the Ricardo Rojas area both places we went to visit people that have become our friends during the past year and we congratulated some who have had new arrivals in the recent past.

We deeply appreciate their friendship and all the things that they did for us when we needed advice and/or physical help in locating a service of some kind.  We now know (at time of publishing this blog) that we will not be shipping the car back to Europe from Argentina now, it has to go back from Uruguay (in approximately a year from now). We visited Buenos Aires again and saw another area of the city centre. We had lovely meals with relatives of our new found friends and we also experienced the typical Argentinian Parilla (grill/BBQ). What more could you ask for in life?

Since we arrived back in Argentina, we also met some European travellers and have received some tips from them about travelling further north.  One factor that definitely will affect us a little is the scarcity and/or complete lack of internet contact. Most travellers (who are travelling for leisure purposes) have given

up in trying to keep up to date with a blog site/website because of these challenges. I will try to cope with this challenge.

The weather in the greater Buenos Aires area was cold at times and we had to have the heating on for a short while every day in the morning.  As we have come north, we are now back in our summer clothes again.  We have a very foggy day last Tuesday, I have never seen the intensity experienced how long the fog lasted in the day.  It actually did not clear till about 14:00hrs, to be honest I didn’t expect it to clear at all that day.

The campsite that we have stayed here this weekend has thermal pools in it and the normal showers are actually fed from underground hot water.  What luxury …. lovely!

We hope to cross into Bolivia this week. I’ll let you know if we succeed.  That’s it for now ehhh???? short and sweet!!!!!!
