19th/20th December 2012

Well, we still have not yet moved out of Buenos Aires, we hope to day to be able to purchase the correct replacement gas tank. Yesterday, we managed to fit in a similar local sized tank into the area where we store the gas cylinder.  Jan with the help of our host has to make up now an adapter to fit onto the local tank when we get one.  Our current european tank we will retain in the hope that somewhere on our travels we might also be able to fill it.

Yesterday evening, we went out for a meal with our host and hostess ‘Christian & Jackie’, we had a lovely meal at a local restaraunt not too far away from our parking place.

Last night however we had our first serious challenge with the camper, upon our return to the camper at approximately 23:45hrs, we discovered that we could not get back into the camper itself.  It was in the middle of a storm and the suction of the door surround would not allow us to open the door.  We then tried to use glaziers suction pads, but once again to no avail.  Finally,  we slept till about 06:05 hrs on two chairs in the office until we woke up.  It was daylight at this time and it had stopped raining, we had another go at trying to get into the camper, still no luck.  From this time till about 09:15 hrs we just went into the cabin and slept in the seats there.  In these 3 hours, the place had dried up considerably, we had another attempt at opening the camper door, finally success.  When we got in, we litterally went to bed for about 1 and 1/2 hour to recover from our nightly experience.

Such is life ehhh????? all in a day’s adventure!
